About the Role

The MRO Project Specialist is a key member of our team, responsible for executing various client projects and providing operations support. As the onsite partner for customers, you will be responsible for setup, process development, and project execution. Your daily work will involve housekeeping, storeroom setup, information gathering, managing project plans, updating customer contacts, data analysis, and providing feedback for process improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with safety and security procedures, documenting and reporting as required.
  • Serve as the onsite point of contact for project management, including client corporate champions and key client personnel.
  • Effectively communicate project status updates to Turtle and Hughes and client contacts.
  • Manage and execute onsite tasks required for each specific project.
  • Provide training to site personnel in all aspects of their positions, promoting unity, morale, and welfare.
  • Adhere to individual project budgets and work independently.
  • Develop and implement onsite strategic sourcing initiatives, reverse engineering, MWBE spend initiatives, and green sustainability programs to optimize savings and achieve spending targets.
  • Generate purchase orders in Turtle & Hughes operating systems or client CMMS purchasing systems.
  • Analyze information, reports, and data to determine trends, issues, and make recommendations.
  • Work with site managers to streamline processes and implement quality improvements, documenting changes into the Turtle & Hughes operating system and site SOP.
  • Manage and instruct local temporary labor to complete tasks.
  • Travel 75-90% for site visits and work with direct reports and clients.
Requirements
  • Two-year college degree required; or 3+ years' experience in lieu of a degree is required.
  • 3+ years' experience in client relationship management, dealing with senior-level customers.
  • 2+ years' supervisory and managing direct reports.
  • Thorough knowledge of purchasing and inventory management, including experience using ERP systems and working with interfaces.
  • Familiarity with MRO materials, including HVAC, Power Transmission, Electrical, PVF, and Industrial commodities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, writing ability, and presentation and verbal skills, with prior experience presenting in group settings and to senior management.
  • Experience and familiarity with inventory control, receiving, and shipping processes.
  • Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and/or overseeing multiple P&L statements.
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word; ability to learn and work with MS Project.
