Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CT Scan Technologist to join our team at Equiliem Healthcare. As a CT Scan Technologist, you will be responsible for performing computer tomography procedures and related techniques, producing sectional and three-dimensional images for interpretation and assisting with interventional and therapeutic procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex CT procedures, utilizing professional judgment when reviewing and obtaining patient clinical history.
  • Prepare, screen, and review the accuracy of the contrast questionnaire with patients and/or family members, ensuring information is documented and scanned into the PACS system.
  • Identify and/or administer contrast media related to CT exams as prescribed by licensed practitioners.
  • Review patient prescriptions to verify appropriateness of exams and communicate with Radiologists and Referring Physicians to obtain additional clinical information or new prescriptions.
  • Verify insurance authorized exam scripts and send exam modification forms to Finance for insurance re-verification.
  • Obtain outside studies (CD) and schedule them in EPIC to ensure availability in PACS for comparison by Radiologists.
  • Provide exam copies to patients and requesting physicians and/or family members.
  • Evaluate radiographs using the PACS system to ensure proper identification and diagnostic value.
  • Use consistent and appropriate techniques to gather relevant information from medical records, significant others, and healthcare providers to prepare protocols for scanning and patient safety.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License.
  • ARRT Certified R.T.(R) license required.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Six months CT experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Epic and any HIS/RIS system added by the hospital.
Work Schedule

This Day Shift Position will include 8 hour shifts, Monday - Friday and every third weekend. Applicants with immediate availability to start will be heavily considered. Must be willing to cover 1 weekend of OnCall obligations if needed.
