Your Role with Us

The Imaging Department Technician Aide is a vital member of our team, responsible for ensuring effective communication, maintaining safety, and performing various imaging-related tasks to support patient care in the Imaging Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communication: Answer calls, relay messages, handle requests and problems.
  • Risk Assessment: Screen patients for potential risk factors.
  • Procedure Preparation: Prepare patients for procedures, provide instructions to reduce anxiety and gain cooperation.
  • Patient Management: Remove patients from exam rooms and prepare for the next procedure.
  • Protocol Adherence: Follow departmental protocols for procedures and document patient history accurately.
  • Identification and Privacy: Ensure proper patient identification and maintain privacy.
  • Order Processing: Review, process, and transcribe radiology orders; reconcile discrepancies with providers.
  • Equipment Preparation: Select and prepare equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Transportation: Transport patients and supplies between departments and designated locations.
  • Stress Testing: Conduct routine stress testing under direct physician supervision; assess and prepare patients, follow protocols, and monitor patient responses.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Recent (within past two (2) years) experience in an acute care setting
  • Previous experience in Imaging/Radiology or as a cardiac technician
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required; Associate's Degree Preferred
  • BLS certification within ninety (90) days of hire
  • Basic cardiac monitoring certification within ninety (90) days of hire
