Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Room Service Server to join our team at The Belgrove. As a key member of our food and beverage team, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their dining experience is memorable and enjoyable. Responsibilities

• Be thoroughly familiar with our menus, ingredients, and methods of preparation, as well as our wine list and hours of operation for all food and beverage outlets.
• Collect orders from the kitchen, ensuring they've been prepared correctly, and deliver to the guest's room promptly and efficiently.
• Assist with the collection of Room Service trays and other food and beverage items from the guest rooms, and properly break down trays and other items.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, both personally and in the equipment and facility, at all times.
• Be aware of all liquor laws and company policies regarding the consumption of alcoholic beverages.
• Attend all staff meetings and supplemental training sessions, and participate in pre-meal meetings to stay informed about daily specials and menu items.
• Work well with food and beverage teammates and support departments, and communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the F&B Manager.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and abilities:
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills, with a pleasant personality and ability to effectively deal with guests and colleagues.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather when necessary, and to carry loaded trays on slippery surfaces.
• Ability to handle hot plates and equipment, and to maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Ability to communicate effectively in the English language, and a second language is desirable.
• Ability to lift 30lbs + on a regular and continuous basis.
• Thorough knowledge of dining service and luxury core standards.
• Basic computational ability and ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately.
