Lead Case Manager

Job Summary:

Cherokee Federal is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Case Manager to join our team. As a key member of our case management team, you will be responsible for supervising and managing a team of case managers and support staff responsible for the direct management of individual refugee cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage case management contract support staff.
  • Direct management of individual refugee cases, including minor children.
  • Coordinate initial services for arriving refugees and develop individual service plans.
  • Collaborate with local service providers to ensure required services are delivered to refugees.
  • Ensure language and cultural competency, child welfare, mental health, and social services support.
  • Audit and analyze data to ensure accuracy.
  • Provide training to case managers and support staff.
  • Serve as a member of the quality assurance team.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in social work, counseling, or related fields, or Bachelor's Degree and at least three (3) years of progressive employment experience that demonstrates supervisory and case management experience.
  • Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish may be required.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to remain calm in difficult circumstances and emergencies.
  • Advanced knowledge of case management services and community resources.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint, Access, Visio.
  • Successful completion of a drug screen and federal background check is mandatory.
  • Ability to deploy to all sites as needed.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
