Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Staff Technologist to join our team at Ellis Medicine. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating MRI scanners, assisting in the diagnosis of disease and injury, and ensuring the safety of patients, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI scanners and assist in the diagnosis of disease and injury
  • Ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors
  • Explain procedures and answer patients' questions
  • Position patients and use appropriate coils
  • Guide and monitor patients during scans
  • Recognize and respond to life-threatening situations
  • Assist in the education of other medical professionals and new staff
  • Track, scan, and verify studies
  • Complete all required paperwork
  • Monitor PACS for Problem Studies and Call Reports
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Radiology Technology school
  • Current ARRT registry and New York State license of Radiologic Technology
  • One year ARRT registry in MRI preferred
