Responsibilities:

">
  • ">
  • Assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular disease and cardiac arrhythmias in the CathLab, EP Lab, and Hybrid OR.">
  • Implement direct patient care on adult patients requiring diagnostic or therapeutic procedures within the cardiovascular service.">
  • Use professional clinical judgment to plan and provide care for patients based on assessment and physician orders.">
  • Prioritize tasks to ensure efficient and efficacious patient care, meeting challenges of case volumes and patient care issues.">
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of data and reports, addressing variances to providers.">
  • Operate, inspect, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance for invasive lab equipment.">
  • Prepare procedure rooms and equipment for daily use and each procedure.">
  • Document, retrieve, and verify data necessary for patient records.">
  • Participate in own professional development and support the development of other staff.">
  • Adhere to unit and health system policies, regulatory standards, and patient safety goals.">

Requirements:

">

A graduate of an associate or baccalaureate academic program in health science (including, but not limited to, cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, or respiratory therapy) or a related field with certification in cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, or radiology technology.

At least one year of experience as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, with provisional status for external hires into the CVIS II.

">

Certification in RCIS, RCES, ARRT - RTR, ARRT - Radiography (R), ARRT - Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI), ARRT - Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV), ARRT - Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI), or IBHRE within 36 months of employment.

Basic Life Support Certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification required within 6 months of employment.

Compensation and Benefits:

Duke Health offers a competitive salary range of $110,000 - $130,000 per year, depending on experience, along with comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and education assistance.
