Join DuPont's Team as an Occupational Health Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Health Physician Assistant to join our team at DuPont. As a key member of our health services team, you will play a critical role in providing clinical care services, case management, and health assessment program management for our employees and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide standing orders for clinic operations, including surveillance, emergency, and routine clinic visits.
  • Provide medical oversight for clinic lab and clinic operations, including occupational health staff.
  • Provide medical treatment of work-related injuries and illnesses in a caring, efficient, and professional manner.
  • Provide occupational and non-occupational case management, including prolonged or complex illnesses/injuries or disability.
  • Maintain medical records in accordance with established guidelines and utilize preferred electronic medical record system.
  • Perform medical examinations and surveillance, such as drug and alcohol testing, thermal stress, fire brigade, and hazardous waste testing.
  • Administer substance abuse testing and have knowledge of DOT requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate guidelines.
  • Communicate with employees, line management, EHS, Human Resources, and healthcare providers on health and fitness-for-duty issues.
  • Assist with identifying, evaluating, and implementing accommodations and return-to-work options for workers with restricted duty.
  • Coordinate activities with Occupational Health, EHS, and Human Resources.
  • Maintain current knowledge of local hazards, toxicity of materials, and relevant emergency medical care.
  • Collaborate and respond to site emergencies with the site's Emergency Response Team.
  • Provide after-hours clinic support and call coverage, which may require availability to return to site for emergencies and site needs.
Qualifications:
  • Advanced knowledge of Occupational Health and Emergency Response.
  • Highly effective communication and people skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with electronic medical records systems.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, ADA, FMLA, and State and Federal requirements that apply to Occupational Health Clinics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing/operating/R&D facility.
Certifications:
  • Urine Drug Screen Collection.
  • Breath Alcohol Testing.
  • Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist.
  • NIOSH Certified to Perform Spirometry.
  • ACLS.
  • PA Certification.
  • Active State Medical and Prescribing License for Virginia.
  • BLS.
