Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement test plans, procedures, and reports for hardware validation
  • Work directly with HW and SW Embedded design engineering teams to create validation test plans and procedures
  • Plan, evaluate, and purchase required test equipment for validation work in the lab
  • Perform component, board, and system level electrical, functional, and characterization measurements
  • Deploy automated scripts/software to test systems, analyze data, and create test reports
  • Investigate failure root cause and help drive product improvements
  • Support hardware design team with bring-up, experiments/evaluations, and measurements
  • Support and train junior team members with troubleshooting, measurements, and testing
  • Presenting and documenting the test reports and test plans, review the schematic and HW architecture
Requirements:
  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Extensive experience in testing, analyzing, or designing electrical systems
  • Experience with testing and characterizing communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, and MDIO
  • Proficiency in using lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, electronic loads, VNA, TDR, and spectrum analyzers
  • Strong knowledge of Electrical Engineering fundamentals
  • Experience working in a Linux environment
  • Ability to set up test stations with network configurations
  • Extensive experience in hardware troubleshooting and FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis)
  • Knowledge of shell scripting and Python
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience on Lidar HW design and/or testing
  • Experience on ISO testing
  • Proven experience in the product life cycle development process from concept to production
  • Project management of complex systems
  • Familiar with EE design tools, such as schematic capture and layout
