Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Manitou Madison SD. As a Welder, you will be responsible for performing various types of weld and finishing operations to ensure high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform various types of weld and finishing operations to meet quality specifications
  • Locate, identify, and use proper fixtures and tooling to perform weld operations
  • Repair non-standard flaws with limited or no assistance
  • Conduct pre and post inspection on all welded parts
  • Plan and make difficult or new setups with necessary equipment
  • Assist other team members with technical issues and/or production problems
  • Perform preventive maintenance as required
  • Assist in identifying issues and initiating corrective action processes as necessary
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years job-related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Proven record of good attendance
  • Ability to deal with multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Effective decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively interpret blueprints
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Ability to produce quality products
Working Conditions

The Welder will work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to various types of equipment and machinery. The ability to sit or stand as needed to perform essential functions of the position is required. The ability to periodically walk and/or travel to other areas of the plant and other warehouses as directed is also required.

The Welder must be able to use keyboard, reach above shoulder height, below the waist, and lift and file documents throughout the day. The ability to perform safe execution of repetitive motions, repetitively lift and carry up to 35 pounds, and visual and hearing abilities as appropriate for safe execution of job duties, functions, and tasks is required.
