Role Overview:

The Senior Principal Engineer in Financial Crimes Technology is a pivotal role that requires a strategic professional who stays abreast of the latest industry trends and integrates them into practical applications within the organization. This position demands a recognized subject matter expert with strong commercial insight and excellent communication skills to negotiate effectively at senior levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage as a hands-on engineer, contributing code and collaborating with engineering teams on complex projects.
  • Mentor and guide principal engineers throughout the organization, advocating for high standards of engineering excellence.
  • Actively participate in product discussions, providing insights on requirements and championing initiatives such as modernization and technical debt reduction.
  • Exhibit profound technical expertise in software development, including various programming languages and frameworks.
  • Contribute to the implementation of critical features and complex solutions, ensuring code quality and maintainability.
  • Advise on scalable and efficient solutions that align with business needs and industry best practices.
  • Support multiple teams by offering expert engineering guidance to navigate technical challenges and deliver quality software solutions.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Develop architectural strategies and problem-solving solutions at an enterprise level.
  • Collaborate across various channels to define future project directions.
  • Maintain awareness of business and technical issues, providing consultative support for innovative solutions.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally.
  • Proven ability to cultivate working relationships.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and working under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with a strong ability to learn new tasks quickly.
  • Detail-oriented with a methodical approach.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
