To provide a physical and visual deterrent, protection of Distribution Center and Support Center employees, assets, and building. While providing leadership for the Enterprise Protection strategies as directed.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Maintain a high profile at Distribution Center and Corporate Offices.

• Contribute to the Northgate Markets customer service strategies.

• Maintain and wear the company uniform as directed.

• Report directly to the Distribution Center Asset Protection Security Manager, who will oversee day-to-day activities.

• Adhere to all local and state laws and regulations.

• Must be willing and able to affect apprehensions and detainments of suspects within company guidelines.

• Observe and report incidents of internal and external theft and policy violations as directed to Distribution Center Asset Protection Security Manager.

• Assist with maintaining a safe work environment.

• Assist the Asset Protection Security Manager in maintaining the physical security standards.

• Perform any other work-related duties as assigned.

**Requirements and Conditions:**

• High school graduate.

• Security experience preferred.

• Current California guard card.

• Bilingual: Spanish and English; write reports in quality English.

• Effectively communicate with customers and staff.

• Be able to reason about various moral situations.

• Must have the ability to work flexible schedules including overnight and split shifts.

• Be able to pass a standard drug test and qualify as being drug-free under the legal and medical guidelines permitted by the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988.
