This position is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of complex heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, as well as the operation and maintenance of environmental control systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment
  • Operation and maintenance of environmental control systems, including computerized central environmental control systems
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosis of system failures and malfunctions
  • Repair and replacement of system components, including electrical and electronic components
  • Installation and maintenance of variable speed drive units and other complex equipment
  • Design, fabrication, and installation of ductwork for air conditioning, heating, and ventilation applications
  • Responsible for ordering materials and supplies as needed
Work Schedule

This position is available on a variety of shifts, including Sunday-Thursday, Monday-Friday, and Tuesday-Saturday. The specific shift will be determined at the time of selection.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials, as well as work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in temperature and humidity. The incumbent must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, climb, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions for extended periods of time.

Work Conditions

This position requires working in a variety of environments, including inside and outside, and exposure to dust, grease, and soiling of clothing and skin. The incumbent may also be exposed to high voltage, chemicals, and contagious disease.

Requirements

To qualify for this position, applicants must have a strong background in mechanical systems and a keen eye for detail. Experience with HVAC systems and environmental control systems is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
