Amazon is seeking a highly experienced Principal Research Engineer in Machine Learning to join our team. As a key member of our research team, you'll be responsible for leading the development of innovative machine learning solutions, with a focus on Generative AI.

We're looking for someone with a strong background in computer science, engineering, statistics, or a related field, with extensive experience in machine learning, computer vision, or NLP. A PhD is required, as well as 10+ years of hands-on experience in these areas. We offer a competitive salary range of $159,100-$309,400 per year, depending on location.

Key Requirements:

  • PhD in CS, ECE, Statistics, or related field.

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in machine learning, computer vision, or NLP.
  • Proven record of developing new approaches, algorithms, application areas, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills.
