Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Loan Operations Team Lead to join our team at Western Alliance Bank. As a Loan Operations Team Lead, you will be responsible for coordinating, processing, and managing loans in various stages across the Loan Operations processes for an array of Bank products with a variety of structures, collateral, rates, and terms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily workflow, work direction, and accurate processing of loan packages in various stages, ensuring that the daily operations run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Ensure established deadlines are being met, maintaining accuracy, and identifying and expediting work assignments as needed.
  • Communicate the daily workflow and escalate issues of quality and productivity concerns to the Loan Operations Manager.
  • Assist the Loan Operations Administration team by providing mentoring, training, and development.
  • Analyze, research, and resolve escalated issues.
  • Ensure clarity and direction, and exhibit the necessary follow-through with customers and/or staff involved.
  • Lead and develop a team; responsible for hiring, coaching, performance management, training, and development.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and eight (8) years of direct related experience such as Loan Administration, Lending, and/or deposit Sales or other related financial institution experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management, and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules, and regulations, industry standards, and practices.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of a variety of complex loan types.
  • Proficient in multitasking in a team-oriented environment and focused on the highest standards of client service.
  • Strong speaking and writing skills for internal and external audiences.
  • Previous leadership experience preferred.
