About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at StoneSprings Hospital Center. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing radiographic procedures using fixed and portable units in the imaging department, nursing units, and operating suites. You will also assist physicians in fluoroscopy using fixed and portable units, while practicing radiation safety and observing universal precautions at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all radiologic and fluoroscopic procedures following departmental protocols.
  • Communicate with patients to explain the nature of the procedure and answer questions.
  • Ensure patients' rights and privacy are maintained.
  • Report any significant problems related to patients, physicians, x-ray procedures, housekeeping, maintenance, supplies, or personnel to the Technical Director and immediate supervisor.
  • Responsible for proper documentation and maintenance of all required department records.

Requirements

  • Education: Graduate of a program in radiologic technology approved by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association or documented equivalent education.
  • Licensure: Current certification by the American Registry of Radiology: Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as an RT(R) or eligible for registry. BLS certification through American Red Cross (AHA and military certifications accepted) required upon hire.
  • Experience: Ability to perform radiographic/fluoroscopic procedures following accepted standards and departmental protocols.
