Kaiser Permanente is looking for a Senior CT Radiologic Technologist to join our team.

Position Overview

As a vital member of our Imaging Services team, you will be responsible for performing advanced radiographic diagnostic imaging procedures under the guidance of the Imaging Services Director and Chief of Diagnostic Imaging. Your expertise will assist physicians in diagnosing various medical conditions and injuries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct specialized and routine diagnostic imaging procedures with precision.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to alleviate concerns and ensure cooperation during procedures.
  • Prepare and position patients appropriately for imaging processes.
  • Utilize immobilization devices to capture optimal images as per physician requests.
  • Determine exposure settings based on patient specifics, ensuring high-quality imaging.
  • Adjust equipment controls to achieve the desired detail and accuracy in images.
  • Operate mobile imaging equipment in various clinical settings, including operating rooms and emergency departments.
  • Assist radiologists during fluoroscopic and specialized x-ray examinations.
  • Prepare images for review by radiologists or referring physicians.
  • Process and verify images for quality control and proper identification.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on imaging equipment.
  • Implement radiation safety measures to protect patients and staff.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of imaging procedures performed.
  • Provide orientation and training for new staff and students.
  • Support the Supervising Radiology Technologist in their absence.
  • Fulfill additional related duties as required.
Qualifications:Basic Requirements:
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a specialized area (e.g., IR, CT, Mammography, or Quality Management) or one year with relevant certification.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Possession of California State Fluoroscopy Permit and Certified Radiologic Technologist License (CRT) is necessary.
  • BLS certification is mandatory.
Additional Requirements:
  • ACLS certification may be required based on the position.
  • Ability to perform general diagnostic and fluoroscopic duties across all age groups.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey information to diverse audiences.
  • Willingness to work within a Labor Management Partnership environment.
