Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Two Career Advancement Pathways

Current CNAs

  • Must work 6 months and remain in good standing as a CNA at a Hillcrest facility
  • Be willing to apply and attend the 12-month LPN program at South College
  • All tuition and fees paid by employer
  • Student pays for books and supplies
  • Be willing to work as a Nurse for 18 months upon graduation
  • If student fails to complete the course, student would continue in a work agreement as a CNA for 18 months

Non-Certified Applicants

  • Must attend a paid CNA training and work as a CNA at a Hillcrest facility in good standing for a period of 3 months upon completing the certification process
    • If CNA course is not passed and certification is not obtained, applicant agrees to work in a non-certified role (dietary, housekeeping, laundry, etc.) for 12 months
  • After the 3-month period of CNA work at a Hillcrest facility
    • Be willing to apply and attend the 12-month LPN program at South College
    • All tuition and fees paid by employer
    • Student pays for books and supplies
    • Be willing to work as a Nurse for 18 months upon graduation
    • If student fails to complete the course, student would continue in a work agreement as a CNA for 18 months

If work commitments are not met, student agrees to reimburse employer for any and all training costs.
