Geotechnical Engineering Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct independent evaluations utilizing established techniques and criteria, applying judgment to make minor adjustments as necessary.
  • Prepare and assess engineering reports, project plans, and specifications developed by other professionals.
  • Develop scopes, budgets, and timelines for various assignments.
  • Draft proposals for professional services.
  • Collaborate with Principal Consultants to review recommendations.
  • Participate in client meetings, fostering and leveraging client relationships while identifying new project opportunities.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Provide training to Technicians and other technical personnel.
  • Engage in both fieldwork and laboratory activities, including on-site observations, sample collection, and specific testing procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of Geotechnical Engineering principles.
  • 5+ years of experience with a Geotechnical Engineering firm, including design knowledge.
  • EIT certification or successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) along with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Willingness to work off shifts and overtime as required.
  • Potential travel up to 25% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License.
