Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage key projects corporately and within assigned regions, influencing and gaining alignment with regional leaders and site management leaders to develop scope, cost, and schedule.
  • Own, manage, and communicate projects to key metrics, ensuring successful delivery of department initiatives and objectives.
  • Assess and create action plans within the day-to-day provisions of all specialized engineering support services, including safety, environmental, facility, industrial, power plant, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Utilize judgment to make recommendations to the North American Engineering & Maintenance Team Leader for production and/or process improvements.
  • Guide teams with location staff and regional engineering peers and the Team Leader to resolve technical issues related to plant operations as necessary.
  • Identify critical needs and improvement opportunities, create business cases, and pursue project opportunities through ideation, approval, implementation, and start-up.
  • Provide environmental oversight, guidance, and recommendations to the Regional Manager and branch management teams to ensure environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance.
  • Promote safety within branch visits, observations, project scope(s), and maintenance activities, partnering with the Regional Safety & Production Specialist to improve safe operating behaviors and overall safety performance.
  • Implement rigor in all phases of project management with effective end-game results, including system performance, operating procedures, maintenance requirements, and training.
Requirements
  • Self-motivated with a high sense of urgency to deliver results.
  • Ability to influence and gain alignment with business partners on critical needs.
  • Ability to work with ambiguity on projects and achieve resolution.
  • Creative problem-solving.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with all levels of staff and management.
  • Developing root cause analysis skills and a problem-solving approach.
  • 3-5 years minimum engineering experience in manufacturing and/or industrial operations focused on process improvement and project management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • AutoCad experience.
  • PLC programming knowledge.
  • Industrial wastewater experience.
  • Lean Manufacturing practice and/or certification.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
