Job Title: Registered Nurse Med Surg

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Med Surg team at the Detroit Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care to a diverse population of patients. This includes assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs.
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to meet those needs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure clear understanding of patient needs and care plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
