Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietitian 2 to join our team at Creedmoor Psychiatric Center. As a Dietitian 2, you will be responsible for providing medical nutrition therapy to patients, consulting with physicians on nutrition support requests, and planning and supervising the preparation of special diets and menus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical nutrition therapy to patients, including assessing nutritional needs and developing personalized nutrition plans
  • Consult with physicians on nutrition support requests, including recommending nutritional interventions and monitoring patient progress
  • Plan and supervise the preparation of special diets and menus, ensuring that they meet the nutritional needs of patients
  • Maintain safe and sanitary conditions in the food service area, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines
  • Train or assist individuals, families, and staff to plan specialized and therapeutic nutrition care plans
Requirements
  • Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) as a Registered Dietitian (RD)
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a psychiatric or medical setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care
