We are seeking a highly skilled Dietitian 2 to join our interdisciplinary team. As a Dietitian 2, you will provide Medical Nutrition Therapy, consult with physicians, plan and supervise special diets, and maintain safe and sanitary conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy to patients and clients
- Consult with physicians on nutrition support requests
- Plan and supervise the preparation of special diets and menus
- Maintain safe and sanitary conditions in food service areas
- Train or assist individuals, families, and staff in planning specialized and therapeutic nutrition care plans
To be eligible for appointment, you must have current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or New York State Education Department (NYSED) certification in dietetics-nutrition and a minimum of an additional 400 hours of supervised dietetics practice under the supervision of an RD.
Additional InformationAs a Dietitian 2, you may have oversight responsibility in the service of food, assist in the instruction of students or nutrition interns, supervise dietetic interns and technicians, and/or supervise a small food preparation service unit.
