Speech-Language Pathology Role

HealthAlliance Hospital is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, empathy, and a passion for helping patients overcome speech and language disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and assess patients to develop effective treatment plans, involving patients and their families in the process.
  • Administer treatment programs, adhering to hospital policies, best practice standards, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, communicate with referral sources, and participate in team meetings as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality care and improve patient outcomes.
  • Stay current with industry developments, participate in educational in-services, and adhere to all departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent, as determined by the NYS education department.
  • Completion of clinical training required by ST Program and NYS licensure or limited license.
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from ASHA.
