Job Summary:

The Family Support Specialist provides direct treatment and management of clients on the caseload, adhering to state regulations and KidsPeace policies.

Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in pre-admission screening of client referrals.
  2. Participate in placement procedure for clients as directed by the Program Manager or Clinical Supervisor.
  3. Develop and maintain Individualized Service Plan.
  4. Attend meetings with clients to resolve problems and enhance interpersonal skills.
  5. Attend meetings with treatment families to teach and motivate.
  6. Act as advocate and liaison for clients with other professional service providers.
  7. Prepare reports and file requirements as per agency policy.
  8. Participate in training for treatment families.
  9. Assist in marketing the program.
  10. Intervene in crisis situations and redefine new goals.
  11. Participate in ongoing training.
