About this Role

The Registered Behavior Technician provides observation, coaching, modeling and training, on a referral basis, to school teams who request support with individual students who exhibit behaviors that interfere with their learning or the learning of others.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborates as part of a multidisciplinary Behavior Team and partners with building-based school social workers and school psychologists, special educators, school administrators, paraprofessionals and other central office staff in the development and implementation of data-driven, evidence-based positive behavior interventions and supports.
  • Works under the guidance of someone who is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
  • Supports and coaches building staff in evaluating, implementing, and monitoring specially designed instruction based on evidence-based behavioral interventions and accommodations.
  • Delivers direct Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to support students with disabilities requiring ABA as part of their IEP or 504 plan.
  • May also conduct direct Applied Behavior Analysis assessments for students with IEPs or 504 plans.
  • Implements district-based data collection systems.
  • Attends relevant in-service training and required meetings.
  • Collaborates with team members to develop and deliver monthly training sessions for school staff and special education team members.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED required;
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Behavior (ABA), Special Education, Child Development, Psychology or related field OR 1 - 3 years of related experience is highly preferred;
  • 1+ years of related professional experience required;
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification is required;
  • Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education;
  • Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us;
  • Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position.
