About the Role

The Registered Behavior Technician plays a vital role in supporting students with disabilities who require Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services as part of their Individualized Education Program (IEP) or 504 plan. This position collaborates with district Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), school social workers/psychologists, Behavior Intervention Specialists, and other special educators and school administrators to evaluate, implement, and monitor specially designed instruction based on evidence-based behavioral interventions and accommodations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct ABA services to support students with disabilities requiring ABA as part of their IEP or 504 plan
  • Conduct direct Applied Behavior Analysis assessments for students with IEPs or 504 plans
  • Implement district-based data collection systems
  • Attend relevant in-service training and required meetings
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and deliver monthly training sessions for school staff and special education team members
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Behavior (ABA), Special Education, Child Development, Psychology or related field OR 1 - 3 years of related experience is highly preferred
  • 1+ years of related professional experience required
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification is required
  • Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high-quality education
  • Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us
  • Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position
