Pharmacist - Specialty Pharmacy - Per Diem Position

Job Summary

Cedars-Sinai is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our Specialty Pharmacy team on a per diem basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the daily organization and supervision of all drug distribution, including specialty medications, and activities including provision of clinical services in the Ambulatory Care Pharmacy and Advanced Health Science Pavilion Pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the daily organization and supervision of all drug distribution, including specialty medications
  • Provide clinical services in the Ambulatory Care Pharmacy and Advanced Health Science Pavilion Pharmacy
  • Assess and apply current pharmacological and biopharmaceutical principles for the selection and use of drug products in a clinical setting
  • Extract pertinent information from the patient or other sources and relate it to the patient care plan
  • Prepare drugs needed for immediate administration
  • Provide recommendations and monitor the use of drugs
Requirements
  • Pharm.D. or equivalent degree from an accredited school of pharmacy in the USA
  • Completion of a PGY1 and/or PGY2 residency or equivalent practice experience
  • Current pharmacist licensure in the State of California
  • Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology as related to drug usage
  • Comprehensive knowledge of common disease states and pathologies
  • Ability to comprehend patient medical management plans
Working Conditions

Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, occasional sitting, pushing & pulling, lifting of materials up to 40 pounds for distances up to 10 feet.
