About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at the University of Virginia. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Job Summary

The Physical Therapist will be responsible for evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapy services to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients to determine their physical therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Implement therapy services, including exercises, stretches, and other interventions, to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans
  • Document patient progress and treatment plans in a timely and accurate manner
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
