Job Title: Parts Advisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Parts Advisor to join our team at Shottenkirk Automotive. As a Parts Advisor, you will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting the required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
  • Inform customers of companion part requirements and specials, and ensure that the customer is exposed to the full product line.
  • Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
  • Provide a high level of service to internal and external customers.
  • Pull and fill orders from stock.
  • Notify the parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
  • Notify the service advisor and/or the customer when ordered parts have been received.
  • Ensure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.
  • Ensure that all external charge sales are signed by the customer and all customers receive their copy of the invoice.
  • Issue credit for any parts returned and ensure the original voice is available to verify purchase and pricing.
  • Replenish assigned inventory daily.
  • Participate with the parts manager in maintaining a lost sales tracking program.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Must have a professional appearance, computer skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and be a current resident.
  • Must pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, and drug screening.
