Senior Cost Accountant

**Position Summary:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our accounting team. This role will support the operational and administrative functions essential to the success of the cost process. The ideal candidate will possess organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and a passion for contributing to sustainable accounting practices.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Establish a Cost Accounting System according to bill of material list and standard cost for the manufacturing process.
- Develop pricing estimates per model.
- Monitor raw material pricing and research material and/or burden off-standards.
- Prepare detailed reports periodically, considering forecast and variance analysis.
- Understand Manufacturing Process and develop key performance indicators for Cost and Inventory.
- Work closely with Manufacturing and Purchasing, as well as other areas of the organization.
- Inventory Management and Reconciliations.
- Establish Accounting and Internal Control policies & procedures related to cost and Inventory Accounting.
- Month-end closing activities.
- Perform other position-related duties as assigned.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Good knowledge of overhead allocations, cost drivers, BOM, and other related cost accounting concepts.
- Good working knowledge of accounting principles, methods, and techniques for cost and inventories.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and multi-task.
- Demonstrate teamwork and team-building skills.
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS Access, or other database applications.
- Knowledge of SAP is beneficial.
- Knowledge in ADP system is beneficial.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Bilingual English / Korean.
- Master of Business Administration.
- Experience in continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing.
- Ability and desire to identify opportunities for process improvements and enact change.
**Working Conditions:**
- Ability to sit, walk, and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to wear appropriate PPE as deemed essential for the job function.
- Ability to operate basic office equipment.
- Ability to work in front of a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
