About the Role:
The IT Security Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and data at ATC. This position requires a strong understanding of information security principles and practices, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Maintain System Security Plans: Create and maintain system security plans (SSPs) for new and existing systems, ensuring alignment with the Secure Application Development Life Cycle (SADLC) and Michigan Security Accreditation Process (MiSAP).
- Monitor and Validate Plans: Continuously monitor plans of action and milestones (POA&M) and corrective action plans (CAP) as they relate to the SSPs, collaborating with the ATC Enterprise Information Management (EIM) office.
- Validate NIST Control Requirements: Validate respective SSPs to ensure NIST control requirements are met, and author recommendations for improving the customer's security posture in accordance with SOM PSP & NIST controls.
- Collaborate with Teams: Assist team members and vendors with proper artifact collection to satisfy assessment requirements, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement security controls.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Stay current with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements, and apply this knowledge to improve the security posture of ATC.
Requirements:
- Experience in IT Security: Proven experience in the IT industry analyzing and applying information security principles and practices.
- Security Knowledge: Experience reviewing IT systems/applications, basic knowledge of networking components, and various operating systems, as well as experience analyzing NIST Special Publications Revision 1, Revision 3, 4, or 5, and 800-53A.
- Security Certifications: CISSP, CISA, PMP, and/or Security+ certification, with a strong understanding of security frameworks (ISO, NIST, COBIT, HIPAA/HITECH, etc.) and regulatory requirements.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical matters to a non-technical audience.
- Collaboration and Adaptability: Ability to collaborate on multiple projects/efforts at a given time, and flexibility to adjust quickly to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change.
