Job SummaryWe are seeking a qualified Preschool Teacher to join our team at our new preschool location in Bethesda, Maryland. As a Preschool Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for children aged Infant, Toddler, Twos, and Threes.
You will work closely with our experienced educators to develop and implement curriculum plans that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our students. Your primary focus will be on promoting social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth in each child, while also maintaining open communication with parents and guardians.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the educational and developmental needs of our students
- Provide individualized attention and support to each child, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and comprehensive curriculum that aligns with state and national standards
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians through regular updates, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment that promotes healthy habits and learning
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A minimum of the MSDE 90hr Infant/Toddler or Preschool Certification or the CDA Certification with the Infant/Toddler or Preschool Endorsement
- Excellent understanding of child development principles and instructional strategies
- Strong knowledge of MSDE regulations and requirements
- A warm, friendly, and patient demeanor that is essential for working with young children and their families
- Proficient technological skills, including Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including grammar and reading skills
- Reliability and punctuality, as well as a strong sense of responsibility and accountability
We offer a competitive salary range of $19-$24 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
