Job Title: Staff Registered Nurse ICU Intensive Care Unit

University of Miami is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care to critically ill patients, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Job Summary

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to work in our ICU. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care nursing, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including physical and emotional evaluations, to identify needs and develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide treatments as ordered by physicians.
  • Monitor patients' conditions, report changes to physicians, and adjust care plans as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.
Requirements
  • Valid Florida Registered Nurse License.
  • Current ACLS and BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Minimum 2 years of recent critical care nursing experience, preferably in an ICU setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
