Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Execute Research Projects: Develop and implement research projects in our Cheese Innovation Center (CIC) to drive innovation and growth in our cheese business.
  • Develop and Optimize Products and Processes: Utilize new applications and technologies to create advanced, innovative products and processes that drive competitive advantage and market leadership for Glanbia.
  • Conduct Experiments and Analyze Data: Design and execute robust experiments that can be statistically analyzed and stand up to scientific scrutiny.
  • Support Scale-up Trials: Collaborate with production facilities to support scale-up trials and ensure successful implementation of new products and processes.
  • Prepare Reports and Present Findings: Prepare clear, concise, and meaningful reports interpreting scientific data, summarizing product development trials, and presenting findings to stakeholders.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Collect, read, compile, and utilize ideas and methods from existing literature, experts, files, and publications to stay current with industry trends and advancements.
  • Collaborate with Key Stakeholders: Work with sales, marketing, and business development teams to provide technical assistance for product development or product enhancement.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) and a minimum of two years' experience in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient personal computer skills, including electronic mail, record keeping, nutrition database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations, and ability to apply basic algebra and geometry to practical situations.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to effectively present information to sales, marketing, and business development teams, and ability to deal with multiple projects and priorities.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
