Job Title: Outreach Specialist

South Central Public Health District is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Outreach Specialist to join our team. As an Outreach Specialist, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing communication strategies to promote public health services to underserved populations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement outreach plans to engage with local and regional partners
  • Provide information about public health services to underserved populations, including youth, residents in rural areas, residents with physical or mental disabilities, and communities with cultural or language barriers
  • Attend events to promote public health services and teach in various settings
  • Train and assist as a Public Information Officer (PIO) to support communication efforts
  • Build partnerships with local agencies to better serve residents and connect communities with public health resources
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in health education, communications, public relations, or a similar field
  • Experience networking and building community partnerships
  • Experience providing in-person education to the community
  • Comfortable and skilled with popular social media platforms
  • Ability to fluently speak Spanish
