We are seeking a highly skilled Optometry Technician to join our team at ERP International. As an Optometry Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our optometrists and ophthalmologists in providing exceptional eye care to our patients.
Responsibilities:- Assist optometrists and ophthalmologists with patient examinations, including taking measurements, recording data, and preparing patients for procedures.
- Perform various tasks, such as autorefraction, non-contact tonometry, visual acuity testing, and color vision testing.
- Provide patient education on eye health and vision conditions, including assisting with contact lens insertion, removal, and hygiene.
- Enter patient data into the phoropter and accurately transpose sphere, cylinder, and axis.
- Assist with patient flow, including screening phone calls, walk-in patients, and scheduling appointments.
- Perform other tasks as directed by the optometrist or ophthalmologist, including minor repairs of spectacles and determining when spectacles are not repairable.
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Minimum of 1 year of full-time experience as an Optician or Optometry Technician in a clinical setting.
- American Board of Opticianry certification encouraged, but not required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to pass a Government background check and obtain a Government security clearance.
Pay Scale: $23.13/hr - $29.00/hr, to be determined based on qualifications, experience, and location
