About the Facility
Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital is a community-focused healthcare provider serving the needs of families in the surrounding counties. Our facility is equipped with 102 beds and offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including specialized centers for cancer care, cardiology, neurosurgery, and outpatient surgery.
Role Responsibilities
The LPN will be responsible for delivering direct patient care, including IV management, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing treatments and procedures within the scope of practice for Licensed Practical Nurses.
- Providing patient education and assisting with discharge planning.
- Engaging in professional development and continuous learning.
- Conducting patient assessments and evaluations tailored to individual age and developmental needs.
- Collaborating in the development and updating of patient care plans.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- IV Certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- No prior nursing experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience of less than 2 years in a nursing role is preferred.
