Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will provide psychiatric assessment, treatment, and oversight of cases assigned to your care. You will also provide clinical leadership to assigned treatment teams and assist in providing administrative and educational support to designated programs.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our Access department to determine the appropriateness of referred cases to our programs.
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations, including DSM-5 and ICD-10 diagnoses, for all youth entering our programs.
  • Participate in Treatment Planning Reviews and take a leadership role in updating, approving, and conferring with team members on Master Treatment Plans, Reviews, and Discharges for all assigned clinical programs.
  • Provide appropriate documentation for all psychiatric appointments and monitor and assess overall client care.
  • Order and review prescriptions for psychotropic drugs as clinically indicated and complete timely clinical documentation as required by agency policy and regulatory standards.
  • Assist treatment teams in obtaining consultation from indicated medical specialists and allied health professionals.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a general psychiatry residency and postdoctoral fellowship in child psychiatry.
  • Licensure by the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners and DEA certificate to prescribe schedule II medications, including benzodiazepines and stimulants.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with child and adolescent psychiatric patients.
