Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for providing psychiatric assessment, treatment, and oversight of cases assigned to your care. You will also provide clinical leadership to assigned treatment teams and assist in providing administrative and educational support to designated programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our Access department to determine the appropriateness of referred cases to our programs.
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations, including DSM-5 and ICD-10 diagnoses, for all youth entering our assigned programs.
  • Participate in Treatment Planning Reviews and take a leadership role in updating, approving, and conferring with team members on Master Treatment Plans, Reviews, and Discharges for all assigned clinical programs.
  • Provide appropriate documentation for all psychiatric appointments and monitor and assess overall client care.
  • Lead discussions during Clinical Review Board meetings on assigned cases and order and review prescriptions for psychotropic drugs as clinically indicated.
  • Complete all clinical documentation in a timely manner, as required by agency policy and in accordance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Assist treatment teams in obtaining consultation from indicated medical specialists and allied health professionals.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A general knowledge of child psychiatric assessment and treatment.
  • Familiarity with TFS policies and procedures as they pertain to the care of assigned cases.
  • Familiarity with governmental guidelines, community standards for psychiatric care, and American Psychiatric Association professional standards regarding ethical behavior.
