Dynamometer and NVH Lab Manager

MARTIN Technologies is a leading engineering and manufacturing company in the automotive industry. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dynamometer and NVH Lab Supervisor to join our team.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage dynamometer and NVH lab testing programs for automotive engines, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and industry best practices.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for lab testing programs; tracking progress and milestones to ensure timely and successful completion.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Management, Engineering, Quality to operate a successful lab environment.
- Manage day-to-day workflows, employee schedules, assignments, and balanced workloads.
- Collaborate with customers to ensure testing is going according to plan.
- Manage, mentor, and coach employees across multiple sites and shifts, fostering a positive work culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements in lab testing operations, maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
- Prepare and deliver program reports to Management and Corporate stakeholders, hosting meetings to share progress and updates on laboratory staff and testing progress.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments in automotive engine testing to improve testing strategies and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field. Relevant work experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in engine dynamometer testing, NVH testing, or related areas within the automotive industry.
- Excellent track record of managing employees, being a strong leader, and the ability to resolve workplace issues effectively and timely.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and interface with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Candidate must have reliable transportation to work at multiple sites in Metro Detroit.
