Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for all machinery and equipment to reduce unplanned downtime and improve overall operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues with equipment, including conveyors, machines, and other industrial equipment.
- Use AutoCAD to design and implement improvements to existing machinery and equipment.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Manage and oversee the fabrication of parts and equipment as needed.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for the procurement of new equipment and parts.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and resolve issues.
- Train and supervise maintenance staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- A bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in using AutoCAD or similar software for designing and modifying equipment.
- In-depth understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, including conveyors and industrial machinery.
- Experience in a foundry or similar heavy industrial environment is a plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to train and mentor staff.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels of the organization.
