Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for all machinery and equipment to reduce unplanned downtime and improve overall operational efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues with equipment, including conveyors, machines, and other industrial equipment.
  • Use AutoCAD to design and implement improvements to existing machinery and equipment.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Manage and oversee the fabrication of parts and equipment as needed.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for the procurement of new equipment and parts.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and resolve issues.
  • Train and supervise maintenance staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in using AutoCAD or similar software for designing and modifying equipment.
  • In-depth understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, including conveyors and industrial machinery.
  • Experience in a foundry or similar heavy industrial environment is a plus.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to train and mentor staff.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels of the organization.
