Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Surgical Coordinator/Medical Assistant at Active Orthopaedics PC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate surgical schedules for all patients, ensuring timely and efficient booking of surgeries.
  • Review and verify CPT/ICD-10 codes with physicians to ensure accurate billing and insurance coverage.
  • Prepare and submit booking forms to the scheduling department as per protocol.
  • Communicate with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination of care.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of patient information, including medical history and test results.
  • Collaborate with the pre-admissions department to ensure timely completion of pre-operative testing and clearance.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and guidelines related to surgical scheduling and medical assisting.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in medical software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Medical assistant certification and training preferred but not required.
