Compensation: Pay range $25-$40/hr based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
• Program, set up, and operate advanced computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools, including multi-axis lathes.
• Independently transform various types of metal from raw materials into finished products.
• Stay updated with contemporary cutting tool technologies and machining methodologies.
• Plan and layout tasks based on customer specifications and technical drawings.
• Assess speeds, feeds, tolerances, and the sequence of operations across diverse machine tools or execute a complete sequence of operations.
• Conduct all necessary setups and adjust machinery, performing trial cuts as required.
• Finish metal components using manual or machine processes.
• Employ specialized measuring tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, surface gauges, profilometers, CMM, vision systems, and dial indicators.
• Apply trigonometric principles to calculate complex angles and dimensions of components.
• Utilize shop mathematics and standard handbook formulas for planning and layout tasks.
• Operate computers and relevant software as necessary.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience is preferred but not essential.
• Strong teamwork skills and a solid work ethic are required.
• Candidates must possess authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Experience Requirements:
• Proficiency in reading micrometers, verniers, thread gauges, and drop indicators: 1 year (Required)
• Blueprint interpretation: 2 years (Required)
• CNC Lathe Manufacturing experience: 3 years (Required)
Licenses/Certifications:
• Valid Driver's License (Required)
Educational Background:
• High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
Work Schedule:
• 8-hour shifts
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime and weekends as necessary
