We are currently in need of an experienced and caring Direct Support Professional to help provide services for individuals with special needs at Progress Industries, a medium-sized business in Des Moines, IA.

The ideal candidate will have a background in working with individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, severe anxiety and depression, as well as Down syndrome. While the position will include cleaning chores, we're looking for candidates who are willing to go above and beyond by helping individuals with their personal hygiene. This may include assistance with personal hygiene tasks, helping them dress, or even running daily errands.

As a Direct Support Professional at Progress Industries, you will be responsible for providing support services to individuals with special needs. You will travel to clients' homes and visit them in the community, understand the importance of consistent support staff, and work with individuals in the community. A high school diploma or GED is required. Our work environment includes growth opportunities, casual work attire, on-the-job training, and a safe work environment. No experience necessary, training provided to all staff.
