Position Summary:

As the Lead Building Maintenance professional, you will be responsible for making informed decisions with a focus on customer satisfaction and the interests of the resorts. This role encompasses various responsibilities related to repairs, maintenance, and preventive upkeep as required. Adhering to Vail Resorts' core values is essential for success in this position.

Position Specifications:

  • Expected Compensation: $25.99 per hour
  • Work Schedule: Full-Time
  • Experience Level: Advanced

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the upkeep and repair of company properties.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to fellow maintenance technicians.
  • Assist in all aspects of building maintenance, both interior and exterior.
  • Prioritize tasks based on the needs of the team, guests, and business operations.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to facilities.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills.
  • Lead maintenance team members and report to the Building Maintenance Manager.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years in construction trades or facilities maintenance (or equivalent experience).
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Proficient in general carpentry, drywall, flooring, painting, and installation of building systems including doors, windows, and roofing.
  • Familiarity with software applications such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel) and Building Automation Systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of electronic building access systems (card, FOB, keypad) including programming and troubleshooting.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and provide outstanding guest service.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays as needed.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., working at heights, and using ladders up to 20 feet.

The expected pay range is $25.99 per hour. This reflects the compensation we anticipate for this role, with individual pay determined by various factors.
