Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ammunition Assembly Specialist to join our production team at CCI Ammunition / Speer Ammo. This role is responsible for manufacturing, inspecting, and packaging high-quality centerfire handgun ammunition with a high degree of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Learns and gains proficiency in various positions of the Assembly Operation, including load lines, packaging lines, and inspection.
  • Maintains good attendance within established standards and is available to work schedules as assigned by supervision.
  • Follows work instructions to safely produce, assemble, inspect, and package high-quality CCI/Speer products and components.
  • Follows and improves manufacturing processes, documents production records and statistics as required.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of on-the-job experience, with manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a background check and pre-employment physical & drug screen.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must not be prohibited from shipping, transporting, or possessing any firearm or ammunition under the Gun Control Act or Safe Explosives Act.
  • Must not meet the definition of a prohibited person under 19 U.S.C. 922(g).
Working Conditions:

This position requires continual lifting, gripping, turning, finger dexterity, and hand-eye coordination. Employees must be able to handle plates that vary in weight from 10 to 30 pounds on a continual basis and occasionally up to 50lbs. The role also requires good vision to inspect product for quality and the ability to wear protective eyewear.

Exposure to noise is present, and occasionally employees are exposed to dust and fumes. Safety equipment such as protective eyewear and earplugs are required and provided by the company.
