Job Summary:

The Production Manager at Newly Weds Food- Gerald, MO is responsible for directing and coordinating activities related to the production of food products. This role requires establishing production priorities, utilizing knowledge of product technology, production methods, and equipment capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership to the production department, ensuring a productive and engaged workforce.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate production activities, meeting labor standards daily.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a safe work environment.
  • Identify performance issues, provide guidance, coaching, and progressive discipline as needed.
  • Communicate issues to the plant manager, quality control, and maintenance.
  • Monitor line equipment for functionality, safety, and cleanliness.
  • Assist in customer complaint and rejection root cause investigations and corrective actions.
  • Work collaboratively with Purchasing and Customer Service to resolve issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent education, experience, and training.
  • Minimum 6-8 years of plant experience, preferably in the food industry, with 2-3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills, with emphasis on MS Office and Excel.
  • Knowledge of GMP's, HACCP, SQF, and BRC.
  • Proven track record in a Continuous Improvement Environment.
