Production Supervisor

DEMA Engineering Co. is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our Operations Team at our Gerald Industries facility in Gerald, MO.

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing manufacturing processes to ensure successful production. This includes supervising and coordinating the activities of production and operating workers, improving customer and employee satisfaction, and increasing efficiency in manpower, materials, and machines.

• Provide day-to-day oversight of various plant functions, including scheduling, quality, on-time delivery, safety, employee relations, performance measures, and customer satisfaction.
• Lead employees through effective communications, coaching, training, counseling, and disciplining.
• Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
• Monitor scheduled workloads and priorities, facilitating and communicating needs for adjustments.
• Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
• Adhere to and enforce policies and procedures.
• Answer production questions and respond to production requests.
• Identify, recommend, and implement changes to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Resolve problems and identify system improvements, recommending procedures to ensure products conform to established customer and company quality standards.
• Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting, and administering policies, and helping resolve work-related concerns.

• Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong leadership skills, including willingness to lead, take charge, and offer opinions and direction.
• Ability to deal calmly and effectively with high-stress situations.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and adaptable, with the ability to work independently within a team-focused environment and adjust actions in relation to others' actions.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to prioritize duties and responsibilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and judgment skills, with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
• Exceptional integrity and dependability skills.
• Mechanical and technical aptitude, with experience using mechanic tools, basic hand tools, and equipment maintenance knowledge preferred.
• Safety mindset and focus on quality control.
• Broad level of safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft 365 software; advanced Excel skills preferred.
• MRP/ERP software experience preferred.
