Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our team at Southern Regional Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality images that help healthcare providers make informed decisions about patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Operate CT scanners and X-ray machines to produce cross-sectional images of patients' internal organs and tissues.
  • Assist in diagnosing medical conditions and the treatment plan process by producing high-quality images.
  • Prepare patients and ensure they are properly positioned on the CT table, explaining the procedure and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  • Monitor patients' comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
  • Assist radiologists in interpreting images and administering contrast agents or performing certain procedures.
  • Accountable for the quality assurance of CT scanners and X-ray machines to ensure they function properly and produce accurate images.
  • Responsible for maintaining radiologic supplies, ensuring equipment is in good operating order, and following protocols regarding infection control and hygiene.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement and Quality Control activities and assist in maintaining Performance Improvement Programs.
Qualifications
  • One year of acute, clinical radiology experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic/Fluoroscopic equipment is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is required.
  • Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT.
  • Radiology license and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
  • Effective 07/01/2015, CT ARRT Certification is required.
  • Must maintain BCLS (AHA) upon hire.
  • Proficient computer skills.
